I mean they were somewhat correct with Epicurus' philosophy. But they kind of mix it with the stoic's philosophy. Which are like opposites. The Stoics cared about virtuous behaviour and living according to nature, while the Epicureans were all about avoiding pain and seeking natural and necessary pleasure. The stoics were more about abstinence, while epicurism was more about avoiding pain at all costs.
