Mejaz - Regulus in the World - Ch. 38.1 - Forming a seal

It's pointless to only read old classics if you want to be a scholar and a man of wisdom. The knowledge of mankind increases all the time. What the authors of the past knew is only a fraction of what is known today. To rely on old information and tradition only is degeneration. In RL China paid a very high price for it as it led to China becoming a plaything for greedy foreign powers. That degradation in turn allowed the communists to take over, which led to the current dystopian development. So, no, nameless dude, you are nothing by only reading some dusty classics of Confucianism.
