That's not always how that goes, unfortunately.

The worst is when you find people who are damn good at pvp, but have also spent stupid amounts of real world money on ptw gear, and don't care if you or anyone else they face doesn't have it. Depends on how the game balances their pvp though. Some are much better at it than others.

In the few games where I spent money on gear, I always had to have proper knowledge to actually use it, otherwise I'd spontaneously combust.
