Mijuku na Futari de Gozaimasu ga - Vol. 5 Ch. 41 - Preperation for the Worst

20 million yen (~186k usd) seems pretty small right? If the average salary at retirement is like 60k, that’s barely 3 years isn’t it? 🤔

Not sure I wanted to think about real life finances while reading manga though. 😅

@sniperscode
Yeah, I doubt that too. 20M yen pretty small even after retirement compared to Japan living expenses and property taxes they have to pay.

That page saying they don't want financial problems was too serious. Feels like if they have problems they will need to rely on sumika father, I wanna know more about her past.

LOL wtf Sumika, when did you suddenly become an American (⭑→ 𓎟 ← ⭑)

Gotta have 300,000 saved for every 1,000 you want to take out per month. Ex: If you have 1,200,000 saved you should be able to take out 4,000 a month and not have to worry about running out of money. Of course this is only the case if that 1,200,000 is invested in something that averages a 7-8% gain annually. As far as how much you should have saved up, depends on where you live and what your lifestyle is.

TLDR; Take out 4% of your retirement fund each year and you should be fine

Well I am waiting WW3 or end of humanity so I won't need insurance or retirement plan :D

@EG0611 I give it about 5-10 years top. Might start this year with a US Civil War if you'd count that as part of WW2 (like how Chinese like to count WWII as starting as early as 1931)

"Stay healthy until you die, that way you don't need insurance"

She's right... But my country provides national health insurance at only $10 per month~
It also cover almost all illness and chronic diseases~

I believe he saves money OR stays healthy. Saves money when he eats ramen, and stays healthy when he doesn't.
