@Tatsgato The younger sibling is female, i.e. a sister. The official English translation was pretty clear from the beginning by using female pronouns when refering to her. But for the fan translations, where her gender wasn't specified, the fan translators kinda had to assume her gender and they picked male, for obvious reasons. But so far, the younger sibling has always referred to FL as "unnie" (used when the speaker is female), and not "noona" (used when the speaker is male). So yeah, she is a female and always has been. Just that she's very tomboyish.
