Also, dragon boy ignoring everything and just being in the background is just so in-character xD

also, my two cents: figure his little brother got killed off in the bandit invasion, which makes him hesitant to connect with someone, especially someone mortal, again. Don't think it's the witch misfortune, cause it takes time to be lethal, and I figure Ye Zhu would have noticed he's the cause beforehand.
