Why does this look like the author actually took some effort to draw the entire chapter, but few previous ones looked... well, like rough drafts at best? I'm confused...

Ok, this art in this chapter, the chadness of MC and understanding childhood friend heroine is enough for me to follow this. Though, I still think the premise is pretty stupid.
