I think this is going to be super boring. It's probably one of those cases where the guy thinks he had to hurt the detective for his own good which as far as excuses go, is the shittiest...maybe something like "I betrayed you so that you won't be targetted by bad people"... It's bullshit because hurting someone for their own good when they're both adults is not a thing.

idk how this is going to play out but I hope this will get a bit more interesting because I feel like it's following an old original plotline.
