Japanese can't compare their trial with the Nazis one. Many of those responsible in Japan were omitted and only sacrificial pawns were hung. Meanwhile, in Germany, almost everyone in the upper echelon got some kind of punishment. I know it's for shit and giggle but MacArthur was seriously dedicated to absolve the imperial family from any punishment. Without him, post-war Japan would have been a vastly different landscape.

@SteamedBunInvasion just thinking out loud, but wouldn't it be better to just translate "Mikado" to "the Emperor"? "Mikado" doesn't really roll off the tongue in the sentences to me

"Mikado" isn't the Emperor's name, it's just another way of referring to his title. Just using "Emperor" would have been more straightforward.

Also the guy on the second last page looks like the Hamburglar lol
