I haven't read this yet and I'm having difficulty deciding whether I want to. I fail to understand how the premise is an issue. My hubby and are are almost 9 years apart and met when I was 19. As long as the older one knows how to honor and respect the younger, understanding that there may be some maturity issues, then there's no problem. My hubby always had the attitude of treating girls the way he would want others to treat his sister and Mother. And we've been married over 35 years now and counting.
So I wonder if it is a cultural thing where the author lives, such that the age difference is taboo to set such precedence? Or is it normally an issue and I'm the exception?
It just seems like a forced story biased. But Idk. I've seen a couple of comments saying they like it, but that still doesn't help me decide whether to add it to my read list or not. I'm open to comments regarding whether this is uniquely and beautifully done, or if it's cliche and angsty, if anyone is interested in giving input. Thanks.
