@Fredthefishlord That's the thing, she didn't try to do it, so the opponent used the opportunity to turn the tables. When Cordelia in turn was threatened, she didn't continue, allowing Zero to declare the match over. All in all, it just means Cordelia isn't corrupted yet by that place, treating humans as nothing but an exp source. Maybe she will be.
IM agree with that knight. Even if you are a hero and had no will to win at all, you are semi-useless in a fight to death scene.
A Battle hero like her should had the firm will to win no matter what..
But at the same time, Hero loves peace and not keen on fighting someone to death.
Thats their virtue as a hero...
If someone as read the raws and understand what is happening Can He tell me what is happening because i'm starting to think that the plot is going nuts (sorry for my english)
I don't think that's it. Given what she said about the sudden and strange movement of her leg and the kind of existence the knight is I think we're suppose to take the idea of "the power to win" more literally here, like a cheat or something.
Comments be arguing about the fight.
Meanwhile.
In my land, where I just read beginning to end. "Fuck, this was a stupidly pointless chapter. Absolutely fuckall happened in it."
So she loses, and her opponent calls it, then she pulls some bullshit trick, and then SHE calls it and suddenly the guy ends the fight before there can be a turnaround again.
@Kaarme@Meridis
It might be an unconscious change of cause and effect. I've seen it a few times before in other works.
Two examples I can remember is how the spear Gae Bolg works in Fate series. Gae Bolg pierces the enemy heart first and then finds the way to achieve this afterwards, even if it has to do something illogical. The effect happens before the cause.
The second is from Tenchi series, Mihoshi's unconscious power over cause and effect works in the way of coincidences. A bunch of random events happen that leads to a desirable "coincidence" for her. Like, a random pizza boy being late for a delivery narrowly dodges a cat, this leads to something else, which leads to something else, which ultimately leads to a piece of metal slamming into a guy trying to mug her.
I'd be worried about what the story would have to do to let the mc match that, unless countering is already a trait of that gluttony ability he got offscreen. Anyway, I feel like going into that world with that kind of power would probably suit people like this who think the world as a playground and people as toys. ya know, no build up no attachment.
Only reason the guy didn’t call the fight when heroine checked Bitch is so that she could use that ability to pique mc’s curiosity. Basically he was either payed off or threatened.
