Even today you're guilty for the most part until proven innocent. Most rape charges ruin people's careers even if they're proven innocent and most people plead guilty to crimes they may have not commit. Innocent people can even be beaten half to death by officers then be charged with felonies for no reason like James King. People play the justice system all the time and there's not much the lil guy/girl can do about it.

@vinabomb yeah, men's lives are ruined by any sort of accusation of sexual abuse, or abuse of women or child even if no proof exists. Especially women who claim a man raped them (though this is going down) and if a man is accused of diddling a minor. Somehow women survive this crap famous or not while only famous men survive it but not forever anymore.
