hm...looks like Mariko would manipulate Shii chan by threatening suicide and self harm. so from what i can read from here, their relationship was not a very healthy one either. that is not very surprising as the abused tend to turn into an abuser, and explains Shii chan's fanatical attitude about Mariko

all of this sort of reminds me of the story of LISA the Painful RPG. (which is my favorite story of all time, so no wonder that came to mind) hopefully thia has a more... joyful ending than that story
