@cgr - reminds me of "cat against commoner" problem in RPGs, where ordinary housecats tend to be more dangerous than commoner humans. Obviously, a cat is a challenge meant for a well-equipped warrior.
Very quickly I found a major problem in the game's battle system. Why are squirrels capable of inflicting more damage with an acorn than a gang member is capable of, despite the fact the image for the gang members CLEARLY had a knife?
@cgr - must be squirrels from Allods game. The ones that are boar-sized, with alligator teeth, and at high levels throw magic spells too.
