@flafla It's nighttime by the time he came home and he's tired and hasn't eaten in over 30 hours. Probably didn't get any sleep either. Plus he doesn't have a car so he's at the mercy of public transportation. That looks pretty suspicious if he lugs a giant suitcase from the train station to some wooded area.

One thing that confused me: How did they clean the crime scene, if the blood soaks into the floorboard, they'll need to do a thorough cleaning then cutout the soiled parts and replace it with new boards (which needs specialists). I forgot where I learnt this, from some manga about a guy working in a company that specializes in this... damn now I want to find out what that manga's name was.
