My Home Hero - Vol. 4 Ch. 27 - Reika's Resolve

We hate her because she's a liability, not because we expect better from her. Of course she's an idiot teenage girl, but we hate that. We hate her function.

speak for yourself, i love the "unaccounted variable" part of this kind of story

She only did what she believes to be right. Sure she disobeyed her parents, but everyone goes through that stage at some point. She is a liability, but she is not acting for the sake of being a liability.

Why would we hate a character for being well-written and realistic? The fact that characters are irrational and don't have complete information like us keeps the plot moving (and gives us more chapters lol). Since the story started around Reika dating Nobuto, shouldn't she keep being central to the story? It's not like all of a sudden she should be a side character now.

Not all women end in an abusive relationship with a yakuza and learn nothing from it.

That she is young is a pointless excuse.

reika, spoken like a true japanese women whose goal in life is jus to get married and be a NTR bait. GJ japan

"Poor virgins" Thx, both statements are right. I may be poor but at least I'm a virgin.

abc reporting in! And do we really need to justify hating on fictional characters lol. It's fiction, hate whoever you want. 😅

The funniest thing for me is that the yakuza are portrayed as really fancy and smart, with lots of tech and elaborate plans and such. It's kinda jarring because you really rarely see yakuza portrayed that way like, the dude did a lot of elaborate maneuvering and plans and such to misdirect investigation and redirect blame and such, and ordinary people or ordinarily-portrayed crime group would be fooled, but the yakuza also play super smart and such.

(though to be fair, ordinary people also won't have all those elaborate misdirections, so both of the party just have the bad luck of being in the wrong genre, I guess)
