@codydub03 I feel like she meant this more in the sense that once she becomes an adult, this story will be over and then she'll be able to lead a normal life, free from the clutches of author, plot or whatever

codydub03 I think what she meant by wanting to become an adult soon is for the drama in their world to end. It’s a stereotypical story for a high school romance novel to start and end in their high school life. Usually when they become college or even working young adults, everything gets settled.

@codydub03 she might be under the impression that the novel "ends" at a certain point and thus she will no longer be trapped in the story and worried about developments.(usually these types of stories end when the characters graduate. So she might be waiting for that.)

Though I'm guessing the "author" has nothing to with her recent developments. Since I'm assuming the novel has changed from the actual book.

Euhyung(?) had a backstory revolving around a car accident thus she got into a car accident I'm order to bring it the trauma.
