and the maid gets literaly paid to respond to his needs right now after lighting a fire in the library he needed praise so she praised him if he needed praise for going on the potty she would probably also given him that

After this point what I think is the most important factor whether this can be an interesting story worth of attention, is the fact if this protagonist will become just another doormat, and "a great magician", who is nothing but a slave for the king/nobles, without a true control of his own life... Like certain anime/manga which name starts with "The 8th son ...", ugh..
