I appreciate that this wasn't another "the delinquent is misunderstood" or other such trite stuff; rather the whole thing carrying this is what a unique wild-child he is (and not with the usual cliches thereof).
It's a pity that this can't go long enough to explore their still-shaky dynamic. That boy is going to cause a lot of trouble. (The poor gardeners for that rose garden!)
