@howlingwolf101 At least in Europe if you go to a real restaurant serving hamburgers (not a fast food joint), eating it with a knife and a fork is not strange. I've been to such places, and the burgers they serve are on a totally different level compared to the usual chains. No problem using a fork & knife for such quality. It's not like they would serve the food wrapped in paper anyway. It's served just like any food on the menu, and eaten just like any other dish.

Actually, there really are hamburger recipes (bun and all) that are made just for the use of knife and fork. Usually this is because they are quite large and it makes it much easier to eat.

Knife and fork aside, he said a better place. While I like a good burger (particularly if it involves bacon and non-plastic cheese) I've rarely found one I would describe as better than good ramen.

I think it depends on the place. I've been in a few restaurants where you can't eat it with your hands, so you have to use a fork and knife.
