tbh i would probably have attacked the soldiers on sight, probably even killed them since the mc canonically cant control his magic very well... not that im a psychopath mind you but they are obviously hostile and out number the mc's group... so inorder for any kind of talks beyond threats to occur they need to be cut down to size

edit: "probably attacked" as in i think i would have but can't be sure
"probably killed them" as in heat of the moment/accident or if needed and vomited afterwards
