Attracted? Certainly. But with age comes knowing when to use your brain and when to use your dick and when not to. It's a bit less pronounced in a medieval fantasy world, but lots of men are learning this the hard way with the current Pound#MeToo culture. What's more is that this woman and her partner in the party made it clear that they wanted something of him - namely to join them. And her suddenly coming to his room like that after asking "a night to think it over"? You do the math. I don't think I would've been as suspicious as he was, but definitely the signs were there.

Shit, for all he knew, pre-marital sex carries the death sentence in this world or he'd be forced to marry her. Unlikely, but not outside of the realm of possibility and not something worth risking.
