Nonbiri VRMMO-ki - Vol. 4 Ch. 30 - Let's Accept the Quest People are talking About!

The Latoli guys are funny and all of that but if I were MC and found out about the massive group of weirdos obsessed with my little sisters I would log out and delete the game forever.

That whole thighs and screenshoots conversation was really creepy.

1 year by carriage to a neighboring country? On average a carriage travels between 10 and 20 miles, and that's lowballing it due to me assuming their roads will be subpar and that they want to conserve the horses' strength due to a full year of travel. That'd mean the country they're in is at least 3650 miles across, while going from New York (northern east coast) to Los Angeles (southern west coast) when driving is less than 3000 miles.
Does the writer really want people to believe that a medieval (albeit fantasy) country can be that big, but also that game developers are stupid enough to include a full year of travel across a continent just to get to a neighboring country?

The Latoli guys right now:

@miyako19 I was enjoying the joke. I know that it was likely added by the scanlator. Actually, I'm wondering what the original text was now...

@GoblinGuy This is an excellent point. At the same time, I was wondering what that had to do with appreciating public transportation. trains, I guess.

@GoblinGuy I don't think it would be a "direct" one year trip, they would have to make pit stops, and either change horses, or change carriages.

it is indeed really hard to be brave against something that wont get hurt by physical attacks...mostly because we don't have magic though

Middle schoolers... limited free time... they're in for a rude awakening if they really think that.

@seekermoc Keep in mind that Japan has entrance exams that can determine which high schools you're allowed to attend. Study hell is more of a thing than it is in the US with just the SAT and ACT during high school.

@Epicredeemer
@CountryMage
The Oregon Trail generally took between 3 months and half a year of travel with a single family using their own cart, with having to do repairs, hunt (depending on what year you traveled because game got scarce later), and make pitstops in towns along the way. That's 2170 miles.
Changing wagons and/or horses along the way actually makes it faster.
And you have to remember that this is a video game with unskippable travel time at 2 days per hour at a maximum of 7 hours continuous playtime. It wouldn't just 9+ full weeks of playing the game like a 40 hour job, it'd actually feel like a year.

@GoblinGuy yeah but i meant more in a "connecting flights" sort of way, since as you say they have a max playtime of 7 hours. So it's a year of travel, for a player.

The neighboring country being that far away is effectively making it inaccessible to players. IE: It's unfinished content they don't want people to go to yet. Note the message board saying attempts to visit the country have resulted in battle. I bet you there's no way to actually explore that country yet.
Eventually there'll be an expansion patch which will 'conveniently' introduce a quick way to get there, and it'll be full of the high-end raids that end-game players demand.

You've got to remember to look at this as a video game, not as a fantasy world.

You know, for a guild of lolicons, Tsugu could have one helluva mixed harem if he only knew.
