Olympic Circles - Vol. 2 Ch. 8 - A Hero's Anguish

Not the happiest chapter to include the anime announcement in, but what can you do.

Never listen to clowns telling you how to live your life so they could reap benefits from it.

Always placing the blame on women. Japan is one of the most chauvinistic countries among the so-called developed ones. Fuck that.

Wow, sad story. Also, its great to see its getting an anime. Never thought this getting one, maybe thermae roman was good enough anime and this manga is selling nicely.

@criver Did you read Tsuburaya's short bio at the end of the chapter? The director didn't want him to get married because he wanted him to focus on running. Basically claiming that having a wife and a life outside athletics would ruin him. Why else would he be against something that would've made Tsuburaya's life happier?

@ElBichoRaro That's not placing blame on women, that's an asshole boss that wants you to slave away at what you're doing with no regards to the fact that you're a human - there are plenty such "fine" specimens nowadays too. He basically wanted him to not have a life outside of running, under the misunderstanding that this will lead to great results (which obviously his boss will benefit from too). This ultimately leads to Tsuburaya's suicide after he learns that his sweetheart married some other guy and his boss removing his coach, leading to a series of injuries, and Tsuburaya blaming himself that he didn't get better results. Nobody blamed Eiko (Tsuburaya's wife to be) in the whole story. Go read Tsuburaya's suicide note - even he doesn't blame Eiko.

Typo on page 23: "Nations around the war ..." >> "Nations around the world ..."
