Look at this buffon he returned 3 times back in time, you must really suck at what you’re trying to do if you have to return 3 times. But in all seriousness this was really clever and funny take on this whole cliche

This would still be a passable story from the POV of the book protagonist - meeting this mysterious guy who pushes back and counters his powers. He would be well into edge lord territory though.
