@dawned Yeah, I get what you mean. But, this novel was he's one and only outlet of freedom and comfort in his life. He reread it many times.

I later read the entire novel, and the beginning fails to mention that he already knows what's going to happen. The story relies on the surprise of him handling the situation incredibly well and surprising others. They just never mention it. One clear example later is that there are others like him who know about the future. Of course, as the original three ways to survive novel was not popular, the people only know the story to a few regressions. Still, these people remember the story from 10 years ago. Though, some rely on memory enhancing skills to remember
