I was wondering why @Halo would post a blank message at first, but then I hit CTRL+A and understood what I was looking at.

https://rxoptical.com/eye-health/is...e text on a black, needs to absorb more light.

notice it somewhat depends on how and what you are reading, length and length of time. Also if eye strain is the issue, I find the biggest help is using daylight bulbs. When I switched my eye strain went away. If you are concerned about blue light and wear glasses there are coatings for that. Many would likely be helped by using their screen adjustments, if their monitors and phones aren't to old. I think too many have their contrasts and brightness set poorly. Also the amount of light in the reading area plays has an effect.

I wouldn't mind a theme that allows for a light background that is not white. Maybe a light or pale yellow.

what was this thread about again?

@justforthelulz , wouldn't stop me. I already know I'm a moron. Others would type more just to hear their own words.

If we add this as a feature, we're just dooming ourselves to constant support questions about why scores have vanished after the user flicked it on three months ago and forgot about it.

Unless you plan to get every site you use to add an option to hide scores, you're better off learning to ignore them or accept that they're not always particularly useful.

Also, derailed thread, locking.
