@Dougman7j Not exactly. The draconians do have a coronation system. And although Kuronagi perceives Haru as current leader, my take was that he's acting more out of atonement to make up for his regrets at failing to prevent the previous emperor's murder, rather than the ring.

@blackLuna Analia's issue is she's acting more on her personal feelings and mistaken prejudices, that Freja maliciously betrayed Edmund and caused his sadness. Doesn't help that as mentioned, draconians tend to have a blindspot when it come to their worshipped emperor (the emperor is sad because of someone else? Grrr, that person must have done something bad to the emperor, must crush them!)
