The manga is from 2011, the novels from 2008, but the PC used by the game development club is from 2001.

@Kaarme Actually not that unbelievable. I've studied in gov't it and we tend to donate our old machines to an org that distributes them to schools. These machines where usually 5+ years old. Also if they had a computer that didn't break and where not a "valuable" club they may not have been able to every get a new one.

@saphirekosmos Unfortunately that's how it often would go. It would be kind of annoying to train your programming and general game dev skills with an ancient system, though. That's not how the actual industry works, either.
