Very different from whatever I was expecting at the beginning. Ultimately, in a good way, I think? It's not like it doesn't have some of the usual flaws of the genre (as the scanlators warned up-front, and bless them for that), but it has a surprising amount of layers and self-awareness and subversion for a 3-chapter manga (especially given the subject matter).
