@Vasqueztion She avoided her destruction the moment she met each character from the game and charmed them. Their personalities and relationship with her are so different from the game that it's pointless to use it as a guide any longer, but Katarina is ultra-dumb and hasn't realized this yet.

Wow, Bakarina has reached a new low of ignoring reality. Gerald talking about Maria, when he normally only takes about Katarina somehow means Maria is the first girl he's shown interest in? She actually noticed a difference from the game, and yet still it doesn't even register with her. She knows Keith is different too, yet assumes he'll act the same as well, really? Good thing she's a hard worker or she wouldn't have any good qualities… Of course all her bad qualities make her hilarious, and seem to be working out in her favor overall.
