I feel like Mio's been done dirty. It feels like Mio has been the only one putting in effort from the beginning and the other girl(whose name I can't remember) has just been letting her. This was the perfect time for the author to show us that the senpai had taken this matter to heart and changed. To have her be the one to put in the effort of reconciliation. Instead, all she has to do is re-enter the room and Mio, yet again, has to bear the brunt of the emotional labor. Even if the senpai won't cheat again, I don't feel like the relationship has truly changed at all and that hurts.

This is a fine resolution, instead of fumbling around and being wishy-washy with her feelings, Shizuka is gonna be challenged to make an actual honest connection with Mio.
They’re both young enough that mistakes were bound to be made to get here.

Shizuka cheated; she violated her shared understanding with Mio. Shizuka did not regret her betrayal as such until she learned that she had been exposed and she found her relationship with Mio endangered (and later apparently ended).

I suspect that the mangaka is a cheater, seeking to normalize such behavior.

Meh, I don't like that Senpai. I was hoping Mio would stay away from her after learning her lesson. And then it might have also taught that Senpai not to cheat or play around with people's feelings. :/

This was a much better resolution than I thought it would be. These girls are teenagers stumbling about in the dark and looking for someone else to help them through the night. Shizuka was jerked around over and over and I don't think she realized, really, what she was doing to Mio until she was caught doing the very thing that was constantly done to her. I feel Shizuka can face the future with Mio and a better understanding. I don't think Shizuka cheated, per se, as they weren't going out. But there was definitely a violation of trust and I think Shizuka will be willing to work hard to justify Mio's understanding.
