Man, I really liked this story 10+ chapters ago. But now, here I am facepalming because it went into corny territory too much. The gangster was made out to be a manchild in his own POV chapters, and now when it's convenient for the plot to be the scary mafia guy he acts like that? The author was too busy doing the I'm just a lonely guy uwu, they forget to set precedent. I honestly thought it was a joke (like the strongest florist scary face gags) because it was so out of character, it didn't occur to me until several panels later that the face was, in fact, serious.

Good start. Turned into a mess. Pity.
