This manga plays exactly like many otome games actually. The doormat of a heroine being put in positions where she has to get with the ikemen, often against her will. It's a fantasy that has its audience.
The angel is the crazy, oni is the man*hore, midriff guy is the big boss maybe? And catboy for the vanilla route, the one who actually reciprocate her feelings and wins her heart.
