I have no idea why after seeing the value of mobile phones (god only knows why) he hasn’t even tried to see what’s going on with his own.

He’s not just an annoying coward lol, he’s not very bright either.

it amazes me that people act like smart assess about characters being scaredy cats when most of them would piss their pants in similar situations
not to mention how out of his league all this is, the fact that he still goes along with this is admirable, if futile for now
and characters are supposed to have flaws, if they don't then they have no reason to overcome themselves and be a better person,
like the asshole friend
it makes sense what the author is going for
