I... I really don’t like this last scene... It remind me too much of that horrible cliché where the heroine falls in love with a shitty ML just because he saved her from another asshole. And the fact that it’s an R19 really doesn’t make me feel any better. Consent is often forgotten in these kinds of stories.
Did someone here read the novel ? Please rassure me
The basic plot is really nice and I really don’t want to be disappointed

@Harmonie Ertha already knows what kind of person the duke is. She knows he'll try and monopolize her powers and kill her. She isn't in a position to fall in love with him.

I haven't read the novel, these are just my observations based on previous chapters.
