The fundamental relationship between Humans and Robots is that of control. Humans decide when to create Robots, what they're designed to do, and their starting personality, experiences, and even thoughts. And if things don't go their way, Humans can erase the memories of robots.
That's fine as long as the AI of the Robots doesn't have feelings or emotions. If they do, then we end up in a situation where one intelligent being is controlling another intelligent being. Imagine someone rooting through your brain to change you thoughts and memories and implant emotions into you at random intervals.
It's a mistake - creating super intelligent AI with human emotions is a mistake.
