Possible Legacy Reader bug with old tech?

I’m using an old iPad 2 iOS 6 to read manga via the legacy reader

It was working fine in the morning of 2/6/19 but as soon as I logged in later at night to read the new chapter of Quintessential Quintuplets Page 1 loaded fine but I wasn’t able to click to advance to the next page.

At 1st I thought it was a loading issue but when I checked on my phone there wasn’t an issue.

Furthermore when I tried to change from legacy to default on my iPad 2 the changes never went through for some reason & it still used the legacy reader. I had to change it via my phone to make the changes stick.

Currently the default reader is somehow running well on my iPad 2 with no issues at this time.

So I’m wondering if there’s anything wrong with the legacy reader?

Same problem here. Using legacy reader on an old iPad mini results in inability to go to pages other than the first.
I haven't tried to change readers like OP yet, but I thought it might be useful to mention that I don't think this is a problem related to the image server, since the first page loads in just fine. I suppose it wouldn't if connection to CDN was the problem?
Also, similar to OP's case, when I try to read the same chapter on my PC, there are no abnormalities whatsoever. I don't think there are any differences between my connection from the PC and tablet, so that also points away from any blocking being the reason, as far as I see it.

Another possibility is that your ISP is blocking https://cdndex.com in which case you can either wait until they decide to update their blocklists or change your DNS to something else, such as CloudFlare's 1.1.1.1 or Google's 8.8.8.8
