It would ease my mind to learn that we never get to find out what was down that hidden passage.

Hiding it from the MC is good, but hiding it from the readers is infuriating and seemingly pointless if it's only to add some kind of tension/twist later.

my theory is that it's some kinda torture dungeon. they said he liked young boys so it's prolly some sick pedo thing. what else do you put underground in a hidden passage. psycho torture dungeon.

I mean, everything we're imagining down in that dungeon is always gonna be more horrible than whatever the author can come up with. It's good suspense.

Ja estou dropqndo fala que vai vingar seu reino, mas fica ajudando o inimigo que destruiu seu reino, que desgraça provavelmente o autor ou autora , vai fazer ela se apaixonar por esse lord e casar com ele no fim, é o tipo cliche previsivel e depois ira fazer ela se esquecer da vingança.
