I'm betting the guy who he got his transfused blood from is the either ceo/inventor of the clones (corporation), or else someone closely related to the ceo/inventor, the guy made his blood be the catalyst for all clones recognizing him as the main 'master'. protagonist doesn't truly have control of the clones yet because maybe the ceo/inventor has some of code word for controlling them.

as for why guy donated his blood personally, maybe the car that crashed into the protagonist is actually his, and he doesn't want a criminal record for murder.
