OK here's my theory. Childhood friend is who the homunculus are based on. That's why they have a strange obsession with MC. They have a piece of her existence within them as their base operating system. Maybe she was in an accident when she was younger and her parents were involved in this research. Not sure if she herself is a homunculus or not but since she doesn't go into heat probably not.

stupid officer...their goal is to educate products for them to have self awareness but doesn't believe the prime sample of what their goal is supposed to be...she is contradicting their departments goal and even if she is lying and acting it just proves that she really has self awareness equivalent to a normal human

For a scientist she makes some pretty stupid mistakes. After the first incident with the BJ, you'll think she'll go "oh wait, why not have them use condoms?". It also doesn't really make sense so far that she banned them from actual sex and if she wanted just a sample of his semen.....she could just you know, have him masturbate or do it herself.

Plot Fails:
Why not just simply provide a "sample cup/tube/vial/gadget". Taking it from the mouth is simply stupid. I don't see any point of not going all the way either. Just let them do it with a non-spermicidal condom and collect the specimen from it. Geesh.

I'm starting to think that this Riri woman isn't a scientist. She could have easily gave them something to put his semen in and had the girl Jak him off and drop the semen in it. Also, what's with the penetration band?

If time traveling becomes a thing in this story then the Yashigi girl is Riri.
