@Acolytus From what I've read, it's not so much a matter of belief as it is necessity. The only reason the Japanese government tolerates the Yakuza the way they do is because they're supposedly well behaved despite being criminals. If the Yakuza were to be overly disruptive to society, they'd be on the receiving end of a crackdown by the police.

he is Yoshino's adopted brother. He is an orphan who used to pick fights in high school until it came to the attention of Yoshino's grandfather, who adopted him as a son. So he's technically her adopted uncle but they have a sibling relationship
