You're technically correct. It is absolutely the shit taste of Japanese manga readers on full display... Because this manga is gonna end soon, but Black Clover, One Piece, Naruto, and Takagi-san are still on-going...

Ch. 40 is gonna be the last? Bruh this sucks, I haven't laughed this hard reading a manga since Prison School and I'm sad to see this get cut short too.

I guess if this series is gonna end too, I'll throw my 2 cents of PS's ending out here: the ending isn't bad because of what happens to the cast, the ending is bad because there was no closure for almost the whole cast. Didn't feel like we got proper conclusions for any of the characters aside for the boys. That's about my only gripe with the ending. Don't know what other people go on about.

I'll admit I was about to drop this series once I learned that the MC was a guy, but glad I stuck with it. Really enjoy the author's humour and it goes without saying that his artwork is great! I'm holding out hope of a good ending, but the pessimist in me is having a hard time envisioning anything of worth, with only 2 chapters left to wrap up—plus the way Hiramoto ended Prison School...
