Re:Marina - Vol. 2 Ch. 16 - The Courage To

Seriously I don't understand this. Who just walks into someone's house uninvited? "It didn't feel like no one was home, and I was worried!"

Bitch, you showed up UNANNOUNCED - you couldn't call beforehand? "The door was unlocked" isn't an excuse to do breaking and entering. He might have been asleep, or in the bathroom, or jerking off, or whatever... you knock on the door and no one answers, leave a note and come back later.

I know it's sort of done for the sake of 'advancing the plot' and hilarity but dear god this trope is so over-used in anime and manga. I can't imagine that in etiquette-conscious Japan people actually just walk into other people's homes.

Well, in traditional small town cultures, I think it's normal for neighbors and friends to freely come and visit, since they trust each other, and everybody knows each other. A childhood friend would normally simply walk into another friend's house when they're something like 5-12 years old. So if they're still close, even at the age of 16, I think it would still be normal. She already said that she rang the doorbell several times. So it's not odd that she would come in if the front door was unlocked, in order to check up on a childhood friend or neighbor if you're worried about them.

This guy need to lock his house.

It was his friends vefore, now it's her who come in.
