Reincarnated into an Otome Game? Nah, I'm Too Busy Mastering Magic! - Vol. 1 Ch. 2.2

It skips over a lot of what happened in the novel, some of which I feel are pretty important (like how her mother found out and how exactly they captured the maid), so if you want to read everything they skipped over here's the link to the translated novel: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/reincarnated-into-an-otome-game-who-cares-im-too-busy-mastering-magic/?pg=1&grr=1

Wow, talk about breakneck speed. I admit, while reading the novel I sometimes thought the action was dragging a bit, but it really made the characters shine, and we got so much perspective into the inner workings of the semi-dysfunctional family juuust on the verge of a painful break-up. We also got plenty of cool and fluffy moments starring the Mother!

Here, though... well, I guess it's alright, but... ughh, I hate to be that obnoxious "umm, but in teh book" person, but it's making me feel so ridiculously unsatisfied with the flow of the story!

So much cut out! Especially
when the mother kicks down the door during the interrogation, sword in hand and one hundred percent ready to take back her man from the vixen.

That said, it was kinda on the slow side in the build up. I thought it was a good arc but if we want to get to Alice actually learning magic anytime soon, I guess this is how we get there.

@Inori well, first three comments are "wah, but the book!" So, you're just one in the choir, not "that guy".

@Alexvar Yo you do know that every manga on this site that has a novel already has the link under the description right?

Just skip all the lead up to the zapping and then mention a few details at the end but never show them.
Truly the best adaptation.

well, glad they listened to her and this wasn't drawn out with the father and mother not believing her

I am a bit disappointed they cut out so much. Since this was already adapted, no need for spoiler tags since everyone deserves to know the injustice they did.
They just skipped her own mother's badassery! Mom was ready to take back what was rightfully hers, her husband and revenge for what the b*tch did to her daughter.
She was also aware MC wasn't her true daugher since she already saw something was wrong with her daughter when she gave birth to her. She was briefly mad at her husband for doing things behind her back (both with the baby incident and interrogation) but she fell for MC when she held her in her arms and awakened her maternal instincts. Both parents apologized at their daughter's grave for visiting so late after all this time.

@icarushector I hope the
light novel version tightens up the pacing, considering one WN reviewer on Novelupdates said the WN story got too draggy for their liking in the later arcs (and author admitted she was just writing things all over the place).

Hm. Yeah the LN was a good read but this did really cut the climax of the whole thing real short.

@Hypothon

thanks for explaining, manga took out some parts and that make me hard to understand about their house situation but with you fill in those parts now I could grasp clear picture of it >-<

Okay... That escalates quickly... I did not understand some part but, okay... I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
