Upon rereading, the opening scene with jenova is actually pretty moving. when i first read this, i didn't exactly think it was cliche (since it was pretty well done), but considering how jenova thinks and behaves later, it would ABSOLUTELY make sense that he could (and possibly would) kill chris both to preserve the name of the sean family as well as prevent any future issues.

and of course, chris drinks it anyway, even without waiting for an answer
