Ringwanderung - Oneshot

Wonderfully dark. Moriizumi's wide angle panels of scenery add so much to the oppressively desolate mood.

The title is also delightfully fitting. The word ringwanderung describes how hikers meander in circles after becoming disoriented in forests and mountains, and works on several levels here: 1) in the literal sense, since the mansion is isolated in the mountains; 2) as Tsukasa's loss of direction in life after graduating school; and 3) as the unending cycle of Tsukikos.

Both Tsukiko and Tsukasa say they've chosen their own paths, but it's more like they've been misled into a false sense of direction. They did it for the boning, I guess. Shirou's troubling predicament aside...

Loved it. The build up is great and the reveal paid off. The setting definitely played a part in building the story.

It's quite fitting that this was released by LSD, because I feel like either the writer was on LSD, or I need more LSD, because what the actual fuck.
