Well that was a drastic swerve. You'd think Noire would've been fine just leeching off the gifts as offered, but okay.

I guess this is what the Otome template "Heroines" go through in the course of a normal plot. The fact that they sit around crying without much personal autonomy wasn't that fun when it was being abused in those stories, much less when it's played straight here. I guess that's shoujo?

Speaking of unpleasant tropes, I'm not really down with how Alexander is courting our MC either. It's less romantic and more uncomfortable when I see people force hugs or kisses on others.
