I dunno why or how this masterpiece got swept under the rug, and yet Bleach became famous. The anime felt like they made it purposefully as shitty as possible.

@popo53414 Agree with you. If a good studio adapted this manga, it would have been more famous. The reason most of Shounen Jump series became famous is due to a good anime adaption. Kimetsu no Yaiba wouldn't be as famous as now if Ufotable didn't do such a good job.
Bleach was hype because of the anime while the manga's story is not that good. When I heard about all the praise Bleach got, I tried the manga. When Ichigo defeated Aizen, I was like "Huh? That's all?".

@miyako19 one of secrets for bleach was that it's anime became airing when Naruto part 1 became a fillerfest for a years, thus giving a chance to other animes.
