@Poklamez cultures in the far east like Korea, Japan, and China are very much uber conservative so much so that even pop idols have to constantly keep their image as pure virgin maidens. Its so bad that if rumor or word spread of them having any type of relationship physical or not their "fans" will be the first to start a riot and their careers wud be done. Its kinda creepy when you sit down and think about it, so its pretty much the same thing for Saotome since shes becoming a famous youth boxer. She may be a fighter but they still want her to have an image of purity...

@MrMadd @firefox1234 I know how screwed their celeb culture is (or celeb culture in general) but why would that apply to an upcoming athlete? There is plenty of competition, so shouldn't the chairman and co. be worried about poachers? And no matter how she performs on the highschool level, she's basically garuanteed a sports scholarship and go to a good university. I just don't see where the adults in this situation get the authority from, and why there is no one looking out for her interests. Maybe it'll get explained later, but for now it just pisses me off that everyone just goes along with it with no pushback (except for meddling girl), it all seems more contrived than having a fucked up culture can explain.
